Finished out our three-game weekend with a win in Midland. A strong team effort to close it out on the road.
Huge shout-out to all the Future Kings who came out to support us today — we saw you, we heard you, and we loved the energy you brought to the rink.
What’s next:
Friday night we head to Alliston for a 7:30 PM puck drop, then we’re back in the Castle Saturday night (January 24) when the Innisfil Spartans come to visit at 8:00 PM

Game Day!
This afternoon we visit the Midland Flyers in a rink where players from both sides grew into the athletes they are today.
Two teams filled with lifelong friends — before and after the game. But when the puck drops, it’s Kings vs. Flyers.
Puck drops at 2:30 PM. See you there.

Talk About Them Thursday…
Matt’s hockey journey began around the age of six, lacing up for the Halton Hills Thunder before moving on to the Collingwood Jr. Blues. He then spent two seasons competing at the AAA level with the Grey Bruce Highlanders, continuing to grow his game along the way.
When asked why he wanted to be a King Matt shared that he wanted to make the jump to Junior C hockey and playing for the Kings has given him the opportunity to meet a lot of great new friends, and Fun Fact he noted that his time in the Castle has been the most fun he’s had playing hockey.
After being named the Kings’ Most Improved Player in his rookie season, Matt has continued to build on that success with 21 points in 30 games, putting him just a few points shy of surpassing his rookie season total. Knowing Matt and his strong work ethic he will have a new record set for himself before we know it.
Off the ice, Matt has been taking time to think about his future and has plans to follow in his brother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in the electrical trade.
Fun Fact: Matt’s hockey number was chosen because it matches his birthday.
His favourite hockey memory? Winning OMHAs with Collingwood as a kid. A moment that still stands out as a reminder of why he loves the game.
